We Do It All Thursday April 28, 2011

I'm really running late today.  Sometimes things just come up and
the best laid plans go awry.

This is Gurkiss my Queen of the Flower Tutorials.  I love what she comes up with.
I especially like the one she is sharing with us today because it transforms
a plain, ordinary, store bought flower into something spectacular.

I have lots of this type of flower that rarely get used.
I think they've just gotten a new lease on life.

Flower Tutorial
Going from plain to beautiful

I have chosen to use 4 flowers (one who is in the bottom three in the middle) if you want you can squeeze in more than three in the middle.

I fold the first flower on the middle

I bend in one third of the flower

It was a bit difficult to get a good photo here, but ...
Then fold the next third out of the flower in the other direction. So an important part is the "front" and a weight part on the "back"

Now my three folded and it is time for reassembly

Up to glue gun

Add a dab in the middle of in this case, brown flower, and then there the three (or if you have more) folded flowers in the middle

What a change in just a few easy steps.
Just plain beautiful.

I'm sure Gurkiss has more wonderful flower tutorials
to share with us in the future.

Thanks to Gurkiss and thanks to you
for stopping by.
Jeanette

We Do It All Thursday April , 21, 2011

Welcome to our new day for
We Do It All

It is a beautiful Spring day and I hear my flowers calling to me.
Just in case it is still bad weather where you are...
Gurkiss is going to share how she makes this adorable flower.

They are so quick and easy and a very good way to use up scraps.

Here I cut to two different strips. One is 2.5 cm wide and the other is 5cm wide and both are 30cm long.
Then I bigga Judgement in the middle. That I have done two strips is simply because I now see a small flower and a larger flower. Otherwise, use only one strip.

Fold them together

Cut your strips so here. Not where the the folded edge is but on the other side cut you and not quite all the way down, but pretty far down.

Since I have such a tweezers or whatever it's called keeping it together yourself, which I use when I should spin up the strip.

Start spinning

see where the gap at the fold. Where I usually add some glue.

Glued

Then add some glue

Glued and clear

Now bend out the cut strips as much as you want

Clear
I also tend to punch out a small circle of my circle punch and put in bottom of a little security.

Thanks for joining us today.  Until next time,
Jeanette
