It's Thursday again, so that means I have another terrific card to show you for this edition of "THE CARD OF THE WEEK."
This time, I found a card made by a DT member of one of the terrific challenges that Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More sponsors.
The Tuesday Throwdown Challenge recently had a "SHINY NEW YEAR" theme and I saw this cute beauty made by Yolanda.
I went to Yolanda's personal blog and found the card to see how she made this.
Now, this is what I call SHINY! Isn't this card adorable?
Yolanda picked a beautiful color combination for this.
Just look at all of the details she put in here to make this card a real "KNOCK OUT!"
Yolanda colored the image with Copic markers and then went to work making this little lady SHINE!
There is a beautiful sequined ribbon that Yolanda used for her tutu and then secured it with Glossy Accents.
If you have never tried Glossy Accents, you are in for a real treat. This stuff not only makes things clear and shiny, like glass and ice, but you can also use it as a glue. It will adhere your embellishments to your work like concrete! Wow! Great stuff!
Yolanda also used Spica glitter pens and then sealed that glitter with more Glossy Accents.
But I have to tell you, ( and Yolanda, too), that I think the CROWN is this little dancer's "crowning glory," if you will excuse the pun.
The crown is FANTASTIC! Not only does it shine, courtesy of a Viva Decor pen, but Yolanda even put a jewel in it! But of course! What ballerina would wear a crown without a jewel, right?
Here is a side view of the card so that you can see all of the shine better.
Let's not forget those 3 tiny hearts shining there at the bottom, right beneath the sentiment.
Even the card stock shines on this. I do not think you can make a card shine more than Yolanda has done here.
If you want to read about this card and so many more wonderful creations made by Yolanda, please visit her personal blog and get ready for a big treat. There is a lot to see there and you will enjoy your visit, I assure you.
Sign up to follow Yolanda's blog so that you never miss anything she creates! Each one of her creations is very special.
Thank you very much for allowing me to showcase your beautiful card and work here today, Yolanda!
Join me next Thursday
for another
"CARD OF THE WEEK!"
After all, you never know.
It just might be YOU!
Susan
